I showed one of my ad professors my “Because It’s Hockey” mock ad campaign the other day, and he really liked it actually. I’m pretty proud of those. They just make me love hockey that much more.

And they’re better than a lot of the ones the NHL put out.

2013 Trade Deadline Day Coverage

nhlbruins:

Welcome in to all of your Boston Bruins coverage for the 2013 Trade Deadline Day on Wednesday, April 3!

This Trade Deadline blog found at the link above, along with the Bruins mobile app (download it here) and Twitter updates @NHLBruins will bring you all you need on the B’s today. Any official updates would be posted first to our official Twitter account, so be sure to follow along.

I’ll also be bringing you news and analysis throughout the day via this blog, along with video updates from General Manager Peter Chiarelli.

The Bruins most recent move saw them acquire NHL veteran and future Hall of Famer Jaromir Jagr yesterday (Tuesday, April 2) from the Dallas Stars in exchange for Lane MacDermid, prospect Cody Payne (Plymouth Whalers) and a conditional second-round draft pick in this year’s 2013 draft (turns into a first-round pick if the B’s make the Eastern Conference Finals in this year’s Stanley Cup Playoffs). Read the official press release here. Read reaction from Coach and the B’s on the trade following last night’s game here.

9:02 AM: Chiarelli Looking to Add, Not Subtract

nhlbruins:

9:02 AM - General Manager Peter Chiarelli and his staff are hard at work - though most of the work has already been done in preparation for the day, especially for a Bruins’ team that has a solid lineup, with room to add pieces.

The Bruins GM took a few minutes to check in, and surprisingly, I caught him at a time when his phone took a brief hiatus (not sure how that happened!)

First, he gave a run-down of the day for the B’s hockey ops staff.

“Well, it’s a busy day. You don’t want to force issues, force trades. We’ve got a couple of little things that we may look in to. Often times on the last day, teams make bigger decisions and sometimes some interesting players – the options on interesting players – fall on your lap, so you have to be prepared for that. Basically, we are prepared, we’ve already done some deals – player acquisitions. You want to just be prepared for something you don’t expect.”

B’s General Manager Peter Chiarelli talked with BostonBruins.com this morning and said he is looking to add, not subtract by this afternoon’s 3 p.m. trade deadline.

A place where girls who love hockey and hockey players can share their love. Any team welcome even the Canucks. P.S. not limited to pro hockey teams. HUGE Bruins Fan. Oh and none of these pictures are mine unless noted
